Market Activity March 2-8, 2015

This is our 1000th post! AMAZING! Back in the beginning, Linda and I had no idea how well this blog would work. At the time there were only about a dozen real estate blogs being done in the Portland Metro area and not a single one, that we could find, that focused exclusively on Lake Oswego real estate. It’s been a wonderful success. We have met many of our readers who have become clients or simply come to meet us at our open houses. Market Activity Nov 10-16, 2014

Last week in Lake Oswego had some interesting data. There were 11 new listings, 22 pending sales, and just 8 closed sales. What I find interesting is the large number of pendings compared to the new listings. It’s obvious that those who are in the mood to buy want to move in before Christmas, and those who want to sell are not is no much of a hurry with the holidays at hand. Also of note is the short market time of the pending sales. This next week or two will be a good time to list a home for sale to take advantage of the pre-holiday rush.

This Market Activity Report covers a 2-week period. Things are just slower during the full blown holidays, although listings, pending sales, and closed sales continued to chug along.
